15 AUGUST 2006 - FALSE CLAIM OF ASSOCIATION AND/OR APPROVAL BY HMC

HMC has recently been alerted regarding a similar incident to one that happened in Bolton earlier this year as reported on this news page on 13rd March. We have been informed and have evidence that at least one fast food outlet in the Birmingham area have falsely claimed to be associated and/or approved by HMC and have misused the registered HMC certification mark on their recent leaflets. This is a clear deception and HMC absolves itself of any involvement with such outlets not displaying our certificate.

Please note that HMC logo is a registered certification mark (2344757) and all rights are reserved. It may not be reproduced or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronic or mechanical, including photocopying, recording, or by any information storage and retrieval system without permission. Legal action will be taken against such offenders.

There are currently no fast food outlets or restaurants certified by HMC in the Birmingham area.
